Researching Rachel...

At the start of the Lore Confino Memorial Project, David Confino told me that one of his aims was to find out more about the life and death of Rachel Confino, his sister, who had died suddenly aged 8 in 1956.

This has not been an easy task for various reasons. Firstly Lore Confino had understandably found the death of her first child a very painful subject to discuss, so none of Rachel's siblings knew much about their late sister.
