Dear Rita and Lex,
My best wishes to you for a happy New Year.
I know that you, Rita, are kept busy with courses, travel, family and grandchildren, that sounds a good mix to me. And Lex’s work is interesting and stimulating.
Simon was married last September to an Israeli girl, Shayne by name. She is at present finishing her studies as a dance therapist. The wedding took place in Israel and the clan went there for the occasion – that is all except Ruth and Leslie who did not fancy taking baby into a very hot environment. I stayed a month to attend a further two family weddings and a Seminar in the Old City in Jerusalem.
Jonathan is the next one to settle down to married life. His wedding is planned for June. He has known Jaki since his university days and they are very happy together. Jonathan has been working for a year now on the Daily Telegraph City pages, which was a completely new field for him. Initially it was a hard grind as there is so much to learn and understand.
Ruthie’s baby, Stephen, is lovely and full of smiles, and does not seem to mind too much when his brothers are boisterous with him.
David and Noga are off to Bulgaria this week; Daniel and Jayne are going over to France and I will be spending the New Year with Ruth and Leslie in their house by the sea near Hastings.
I had to be operated on a hernia recently and am almost back to normal though I must not lift anything heavy, such as my grandchildren!
Have fun over Christmas!
With my love,
Lore.
