Annecy 18 September 1939
Dear Lore,
I want to write to you again today to inform you that I am no longer in Thonon, but here, that I will not stay here long because we are being posted on. I left Thonon yesterday on my birthday. Dear Lore, if you want to write to me, write to the Pension in Thonon because I will have the letters forwarded. As soon as I can give you my new address I will write to you. You must excuse my bad handwriting but I have no firm base. Dear Lore, I gave the lady at the Pension my power of attorney to accept the money and whatever is in excess, she will send onto me in small amounts as pocket money. I paid half my bill at the Pension and kept a little money to buy myself once in a while a newspaper or something else. If the money has not yet been sent I want you to see that
1.) Only 400 frs are sent to the Pension
2) it is not to be sent to my address but to the address of the Pension: Madame Lochon, Pension Lochon, Thonon-les-Bains
I still owe the Pension about 210 frs. Are the relatives well? A month ago you wrote that school would start again on 20 September. Was this so? I have not heard anymore from Oma.
This is all for today. Write soon to the Pension and I send you my love, Yours Oswald
Greet everyone from me. Is Uncle Max still in London?
I left this address and your school address at the Pension
